My fish are acting crazy and they have ick!!?
I had my Betta for about three months and recently added 3 platys and cats placostumus. Their been there for about three weeks and has been acting fine until three days ago. The Betta to hide in small places and will not eat. The platys live under and the rocking of left to right very quickly. I have checked and everything looks good ph. Yesterday I saw where one of the platys and fins in Betta has ick. In addition, plants on the rocks fabric prints grow. I do not think it's algae. I took them out and now soak in a little bleach water. I do not know what to do. I think adding platys causing this, because I am very pleased Hickey before this. Oh, I have a 10 gallon. Can you give me some advice. Thank you!
they cool? usually plague ich fish comes from getting cold. i think you should remove the pleco to treat the rest - they are sensitive to ich treatment. i double in the aquarium salt at 1 tablespoon per 5 gallons, and each medical malachite green and formalin. I will be doing water changes every two days around 25% of the water as well - can help freshen up the water. ich live in the gravel so that the gravel vacs often will help a lot.
