How do I get the bathroom door locked?
Here is a stupid question of the night. I've never had this problem before. I was cleaning the room I shower and I went to go to the kitchen, closed the door behind me. I do not know my knob in locked position. It's just plain old buttons, it has two screws in the second side. If I get a philips head screwdriver and open the knob they would just fall on each side, let me open them and put them back together?
Usually the screws on the same side as the key mechanism. On the outside of the privacy lock is a small hole dead center. You can take a very small flat bladed screwdriver and stick in slot to activate the thumb keys are not locked into position. If you have a privacy key lock is useful it will do the trick. In the new house carpenters usually lay on top top trim door. If you have a privacy lock kwikset and screws are out you can remove the knob and use a screwdriver to push the bolt back and opened the door.
