What kind of amp should I do to sub this? and do i need a better alternator and change the "Big 3"?
I have a pair of MA-inch HK100XC subs 10. here are the specs: Power Handling Capability: 500 Watts RMS 1000 Watts patent Basket Chrome Die Cast Enclosure Compatible with Sealed and ported Dual 4-Ohm Aluminum Voice Coil 240 Oz. (15 pounds), Double Stacked Magnets Mounting Depth: 5.8 "Mounting Diameter: 9.3" what is best for the power amp is the best way possible? also with people powered subs will I need to get high-output alternator and change the battery cables and wires into the ground? Thank you in advance for your answers.
with people-sub (DVC 4ohm), you can wire them to get the impedance of one of one or 4ohms the amp (you can always sub with the power amp's own work and get the impedance 2 or 8ohms) - the lower the impedance at the bottom amp the sound quality but it was easier / cheaper it is the power (the amp is most unstable under 2ohms and will run hot and into protection mode much) here is a link to help you with your cable options http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_configurations.asp so amp needed will have 1000watts RMS @ the correct impedance (or two 500watts RMS amp) also went to a mono amp, not the 2channel amp-here is a good site to get your amp (low price) http://www.sonicelectronix.com/ three large extent, it depends on the make of your car, if the truck / suv with a v8 you should be ok, if a smaller car you may need to upgrade
